**Hospital Security Officer Job Overview**

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Hospital Security Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff at our healthcare facility.

  • Patrol hospital premises to detect and prevent any suspicious activity, disorder, or hazard
  • Inspect all security devices and fire control equipment to ensure proper functioning
  • Screen members, visitors, and client employees to expedite their admittance to the facility
  • Respond to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, or inclement weather with calm urgency
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Prior work experience involving dealing with customers, troubleshooting, and/or managing stressful situations
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience

In addition to your qualifications, you must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be required to pass a background investigation and obtain necessary certifications.
