About Our Dairy Farm Operator Position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced dairy farm operator to manage our dairy cattle operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of milking, livestock care, haymaking, and fencing.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain milking plant equipment
  • Identify and report any issues with equipment not functioning properly
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Monitor and record instrument readings, including milk vat temperatures and cow numbers
  • Understand and apply safe working practices
  • Maintain machinery, perform adjustments and size changes
  • Solve problems and make informed decisions within established guidelines
  • Contribute to the team by providing input and assisting colleagues

Key Requirements:

  • AQF certificate II or III in Agriculture (or equivalent)
  • At least one year of recent and relevant work experience

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position that may involve weekend or public holidays work and some unplanned hours where needed.
