Dairy Farm Manager

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Dairy Farmer to manage the daily operation of our farm. The successful candidate will have strong communication and time management skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of the daily operation of the farm with minor supervision from the farm owners.
  • Pasture management, milk harvesting, feeding management, administrative tasks, general maintenance, etc.
  • Leading a small team or groups and training new members of the team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in agriculture or higher equivalent.
  • At least 3 years recent relevant work experience.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advance knowledge in animal husbandry, animal welfare and legislation, dairy production, and OH&S.
  • Knowledge in computer programs/software is an advantage.

Benefits:

  • Comprehensive salary package from $76,515 pa (plus superannuation).
  • Full-time, permanent tenure.
  • Weekend work and some unplanned hours may be required.
