Environmental Hydrogeology Expert

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Hydrogeologist to join our Water Resources team in Australia and New Zealand. As a Senior Hydrogeologist, you will be responsible for leading technical input to projects, building relationships with internal and external clients, and coaching less experienced professionals.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in groundwater field work, including well installation, sampling, and permeability tests. They will also possess excellent communication skills and be able to review or compile technical reports detailing field activities, results, and impact assessments.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work on high-profile and challenging projects, including the implementation of the Murray-Darling Basin Plan. You will be part of a dynamic team that values diversity, inclusivity, and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead technical input to projects and develop solutions to complex hydrogeological problems
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external clients
- Coach and mentor less experienced professionals
- Supervise small teams to deliver projects
- Conduct office-based hydrogeological assessments using various software packages
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Science or Engineering with a focus on hydrogeology
- 5+ years of experience in groundwater field work, including well installation, sampling, and permeability tests
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to review or compile technical reports detailing field activities, results, and impact assessments
Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience
