Boatyard Crew Member Job Description

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking individual to join our small team at the marina. The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail and be able to work in a hands-on, outdoor environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Machine and hand sanding of hulls
  • Application of primers and antifouling paints by brush, roller or spray painting
  • Detailing of vessels exterior finishes, including machine polishing, hand polishing, cleaning with water, detergents and other recognized products
  • Machine and hand fairing of hulls after grit blasting for osmosis work
  • Maintaining a clean and organised boatyard
  • Ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and procedures
  • Filling out daily work sheets and job sheets

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a Boatyard, Marina or similar environment is preferred
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work outdoors in various weather conditions

Benefits:

  • Full-time, permanent position with opportunities for overtime pay
  • 8 hour shift schedule
