Emergency Response Specialist

The Firefighter role is a critical position within the Queensland Fire Department, requiring individuals to respond to fires and other emergencies in a professional and timely manner.
- Key responsibilities include minimising loss to life, property, and the environment, as well as improving safety and emergency preparedness through fire prevention and community education activities.
This role involves operating emergency response vehicles and equipment safely and effectively, providing first aid and resuscitation when required, and maintaining equipment, resources, and facilities to ensure operational readiness.
Essential RequirementsTo be successful in this role, applicants must:
- Hold a valid Blue Card from Blue Card Services and provide evidence of same.
- Possess a Manual Medium Rigid driver's licence recognised by the Department of Transport and Main Roads.
- Hold current Apply First Aid and Advanced Resuscitation Certificates.
- Meet QFD medical and fitness standards.
- Pass a Criminal History Check and Clinical Psychometric Assessment.
