Lead Strategic Legal Initiatives

You will be responsible for leading a high-performing team of lawyers to provide strategic legal advice to the business unit. You will foster a collaborative environment, ensuring the team can tackle complex legal challenges and collaborate with stakeholders to support organizational objectives.

  • Act as a trusted legal adviser to the leadership team, partnering to deliver strategic initiatives and enhance legal and regulatory risk management.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a positive culture aligned with organizational values, and ensure seamless delivery of legal services to key stakeholders.
  • Build exceptional relationships with stakeholders, actively participate in leadership teams and provide timely updates on key legal matters to executive leadership, exemplifying leadership expertise.

For this role, you will require 10+ years post-qualified experience gained in private practice or in-house, relating to financial services, with extensive experience and outstanding legal skills in superannuation law and practice. You will also have a product background and regulatory and compliance environments, with the ability to contribute to business plans and strategy.

This position requires a leader who can navigate complex challenges while maintaining a focus on strategic goals and fostering a positive team culture.
