The role involves providing care and support to vulnerable adults, ensuring their basic needs are met.
Duties and Responsibilities- To deliver comprehensive care plans, guaranteeing service users receive safe and effective support.
- To provide personal care as outlined in individual care plans.
- To monitor the progress of service users, taking into account triggers for challenging behaviour and seizures, and responding accordingly in line with agreed guidelines.
- To offer emotional support to individuals placing high demands on the jobholder.
- To contribute to daily activity planning and risk assessments.
- To ensure accurate medication administration, including rescue medication, adhering to the Council's Medication policy.
- To maintain up-to-date and accurate records.
- To conduct professional interactions at all times.
- Qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Enhanced and in-date DBS certificate.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to make informed decisions.
- Capacity to work independently and within a team or multi-agency settings.
- Knowledge of service user needs.
- Competent IT skills and ability to navigate electronic file systems.
- Ability to produce clear and concise reports and files.
- Flexibility in working hours when necessary.
