Lead Ethics Specialist

A dynamic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and skilled professional to lead our Ethics Complaints and Notifications team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing the effective and efficient processing of professional standards and ethical consultations.

Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Providing strategic management and leadership support to the team.
  • Determining jurisdiction for alleged breaches of established codes of ethics and practice standards.
  • Managing internal complaint and declaration processes to achieve fairness, due process, natural justice, and timely resolution of matters pertaining to members and associated parties.
  • Liaising with relevant parties, including Complainants and Respondents, Ethics Council, Complaints Officer, Case Reviewer, Ethics Officer, Conciliators, Mediators, Hearing Panels, or other formally constituted panels.

We seek a seasoned professional who can bring a commitment to quality and continuous improvement, energy, and enthusiasm, as well as key leadership skills for day-to-day team guidance and development.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Law, Quality and Risk, or Professional Complaints and Misconduct management.
  • Knowledge and experience in complaint and misconduct management and the use of alternative dispute resolution and mediation strategies.
  • A sound understanding of the principles of natural justice, administrative law, and good governance.
