Chandler Macleod is seeking a highly skilled Case Coordinator to join our team in Canberra or Hobart. As a Case Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting applicants through the redress process, ensuring timely and quality outcomes.

About the Role

This APS5 position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated and compassionate individual to make a tangible difference in the lives of survivors of abuse. You will work closely with a diverse team to manage cases, provide support and guidance to applicants, and ensure that they receive the justice and healing they deserve.

Key Responsibilities
  • Effective Communication: Engage with applicants, nominees, and support services with empathy, sensitivity, and clarity, while adhering to trauma-informed practices.
  • Assessment & Analysis: Review applications, research participating institutions, assess supporting documentation, and provide informed recommendations on eligibility.
  • Case Management: Act as the primary coordinator for applicants, keeping them informed throughout the process, and offering advice on redress legislation, policy, procedures, and payments.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality of applications and redress processes, perform quality control checks, and review the work of others to maintain high standards.
  • Record-Keeping & Documentation: Maintain accurate, comprehensive records including case notes, reports, and official documentation, with a focus on detail and accountability.
  • Time Management: Effectively organize and prioritize your workload to meet performance expectations in a high-risk, high-demand environment.
About You

We are looking for a highly organized and resilient professional who can demonstrate deep understanding and compassion when working with people who have experienced trauma. You should have strong decision-making skills, high accuracy and attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Your ability to collaborate in a diverse team to deliver timely, quality outcomes under pressure is essential.
