The Role:

As a Domestic Support Worker at our Juniper Guwardi Ngadu facility, you will play a vital role in maintaining a comfortable and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Your key responsibilities will include preparing and serving meals, providing kitchen hand services, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness in cooking areas and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present breakfast, serve lunch, and dinner
  • Provide kitchen hand services, including food preparation, texture modification, and accurate apportioning
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness in cooking areas and equipment
  • Perform cleaning services, including vacuuming, emptying rubbish, dusting, wiping surfaces, and maintaining resident rooms, windows, toilets, bathrooms, and communal areas
  • Handle residents' laundry, ensuring proper washing and return of clothing
  • Manage bed linen, ensuring it is laundered and labeled correctly

Key Requirements:

  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and procedures
  • Understanding of infection control
  • Experience in domestic cleaning in an aged care setting
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
