About the Role:
This leadership position is responsible for overseeing various tasks including preparation of loading and discharge plans, ensuring smooth navigation, and guiding junior staff members. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills and experience in navigating complex situations.
Key Responsibilities:
The chief officer will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the vessel, which includes planning and coordinating loading and discharge activities, supervising a team of deck officers, and ensuring that all safety protocols are followed.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:
• As per AMSA Marine Order 71 (mandatory)
• At least 12 months documented qualifying seagoing service in charge of navigation watch
• MSIC Card (required or ability to obtain)
• Working Safely at Heights (required or ability to obtain)
• Enter and Work in a Confined Workspace certification (required or ability to obtain)
• Current AMSA Medical (required or ability to obtain)
