Job Summary

SA Health is seeking an experienced Administrative Officer to join our team in the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network. As an Administrative Officer, you will provide high-quality, confidential, and customer-focused administrative services to clients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide reception services, including answering phone calls and responding to emails
  • Admit and discharge patients, prepare and run patient/client information reports, and perform word processing and data entry tasks
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to the team, including preparing medical case notes and working within a reception and medical records department
  • Interact with people from diverse backgrounds and work effectively as a member of the workplace team
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and demonstrate courtesy, discretion, and sensitivity in dealing with telephone and personal enquiries
Requirements
  • Proven experience in providing a range of clerical and administrative support services
  • Sound knowledge of office systems and procedures, including proficiency in word processing packages and data entry
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and demonstrating courtesy, discretion, and sensitivity in dealing with telephone and personal enquiries
