About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and driven individual to lead our High-Performance Program as the Head of Performance and Development. This is a rare opportunity to join our small and dedicated team and contribute to the success of our elite athletes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategic framework for the program, driving a vision that inspires the Performance team, and ensuring the program's components are fully integrated with one another. They will also be responsible for managing each discipline, including high-performance operations, load management, strength and conditioning, squad planning, stakeholder engagement, and administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a strategic framework for the High-Performance Program
  • Lead the Performance team and drive a vision that inspires and motivates them
  • Manage each discipline, including high-performance operations, load management, strength and conditioning, squad planning, stakeholder engagement, and administrative duties
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including the Head Coach, performance and netball staff, service providers, and athletes
  • Communicate effectively and build trust and rapport with stakeholders
  • Work on game day and at nominated Club events, requiring some weekend and evening availability, and travel in season
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in sports science, strength & conditioning, high performance, or related field
  • Significant experience working in high-performance, elite, or professional sport leadership roles, with international/national experience preferable
  • Demonstrated experience and success in setting a strategy and managing integrated multi-disciplinary high-performance elite sport programs
  • Proven experience developing elite athletes, including devising and implementing successful programs and individual performance plans
  • Significant experience in physical performance/strength & conditioning and managing athlete load
  • Experience in player tracking systems/GPS and utilizing video & data analysis software/tools
  • A technical understanding of elite netball is highly desirable
