Job Opportunity

Key Leadership Role: Principal Structural Engineer

The selected candidate will lead a team of structural consultants, overseeing client management, project coordination, and supervision. They will also conduct and supervise various structural analyses and designs.

This position requires a highly skilled professional with expertise in all aspects of structural engineering. The successful individual will contribute to the development of our business goals, objectives, and key client relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership on water/wastewater, civil, and building-related projects through design, supervision, and review.
  • Offer direction and coaching in terms of design, task allocation, project progress monitoring, and resourcing.
  • Plan, program, and coordinate assigned multidisciplinary projects as Project Structural Lead to deliver agreed-upon outputs within budget, on time, and to quality standards.
  • Deliver high-quality designs that meet client project briefs, risk appetites, project drivers, professional obligations, and company reputation.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant engineering field.
  • Chartered Engineer or working towards.
  • At least 8 years' experience in an engineering consultancy.
  • Leadership abilities, including managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of structural engineering, dams/hydro, and delivery environments.
  • Highly developed problem-solving and negotiation skills to resolve disputes.
  • Strong understanding of delivery models and report writing.
  • Proficient in Project Management Tools, MS Project, Power BI.
