Cyber Security Engineer Job Description

Overview:

We seek a highly skilled Cyber Security Engineer to join our technology team. The role focuses on Microsoft products, including incident response, security analyst activities, and collaboration with IT and Operational Technology (OT) teams to deliver secure solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Cyber Security Manager in overseeing physical and cybersecurity measures to protect infrastructure and data.
  • Implement and manage security features within Microsoft suite of products and Azure to ensure protection of data and secure management of identities and access.
  • Design and implement security features within cloud & vendor technology solutions and in-house systems.
  • Work with Technology teams to design and implement secure architectures and secure defaults.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security of critical energy infrastructure and operations.

Requirements:

  • Experience with Microsoft suite of products, including Microsoft 365, Azure, and Windows OS.
  • Proven experience in security analyst activities, including monitoring and analysis of security events and incident response activities.
  • Understanding of networking, including TCP/IP and firewalls.
  • Understanding of secure architectures, DLP, and Identity and Access Management principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with IT and OT teams.
