Therapeutic Services Specialist

The role of the Therapeutic Services Specialist is to provide high-quality therapeutic and support services to children and young people who have experienced sexual violence or engaged in harmful/problematic sexual behaviour, and their non-offending family members.
Key Responsibilities:- Delivery of quality and evidence-based assessment, therapeutic interventions and support for children/young people who have experienced sexual violence or engaged in harmful/problematic sexual behaviour and their family members
- Contribution to a culture of open and effective communication, teamwork and lifelong learning
- Development and maintenance of positive relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
Specialists will be required to participate in the after-hours crisis care roster and contribute to the Intake Team by receiving and responding to referrals for service, inquiries regarding child sexual abuse, harmful sexual behaviour and crisis care presentations.
Candidates must hold a recognised qualification in a relevant discipline with current Board registration/eligibility for membership with professional body as well as satisfaction of relevant discipline's continuing professional development standards and a commitment to ethical practice.
This role requires a strong understanding of trauma-informed care and the ability to work effectively with vulnerable populations.
Classification for this position will range from Social Worker Grade 2, Years 1-4 (SC21 - SC24), Psychology Grade 2, Years 1-4 (PK1 - PK4) or Occupational Therapy Grade 2, Years 1-4 (VF6 - VF9).
