Job Description

The primary objective of this role is to manage sales activities across a specific geographic territory, focusing on the Central Sterilisation Department Reprocessing product portfolio. The Territory Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing sales programs designed to achieve maximum growth and profitability. This individual will align with the strategic direction of the business unit, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Directing day-to-day field sales responsibilities, representing the entire assigned product portfolio within a specific designated geographic territory.
  • Generating new accounts where the company may not have a presence, through high sales activity and customer engagement.
  • Actively cultivating and achieving maximal existing and future revenue through existing accounts by executing ongoing support, education, demonstration, consultation, and sales processes.
  • Managing key accounts and targeted customers.
  • Maintaining thorough understanding of customer objectives, purchasing criteria, and decision-making processes relative to the market, to form long-term mutually beneficial customer partnerships.
  • Attaining monthly, quarterly, and annual sales objectives.
  • Responding to customer enquiries and needs as related to the assigned product portfolio.

This role requires travel, which is considered a core component of job function and should be completed in conjunction with established call activity, sales objectives, and development of new opportunities.

The Territory Manager will maintain accurate correspondence, customer account records, customer database, and sales pipeline (inclusive of sales forecasting and market intelligence) within the corporate CRM. Additionally, they will develop a Territory Business Plan with the National Sales Manager and complete reporting needs on time.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess:

  • Adequate years of experience in medical device sales.
  • Prior field sales experience in a business-to-business capacity will be beneficial.
  • Demonstrated fiscal responsibility in managing territory or region.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 50%.
  • Good customer service attributes, listening, and comprehension skills.
