As an Activity Coordinator, you will play a vital role in coordinating exciting events and activities that promote independence, learning, and social connections among residents.

We are looking for someone who shares our passion for improving the lives of seniors and has a genuine interest in promoting active aging. If you have experience in coordinating programs, events, or activities with a resident-centered approach, we would like to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and deliver fun, inclusive, and exciting events to residents on a regular schedule
  • Develop and implement a holistic activities program that promotes independence, learning new hobbies, and enabling social connections
  • Collaborate and engage with stakeholders such as the Resident Committee, local businesses, and staff to deliver programs that build participation
  • Create schedules for all new events and distribute newsletters highlighting upcoming events
  • Be the welcoming face to new residents in the community by ensuring they are engaged and supported in their transition to the community

Requirements:

  • A genuine interest in improving the lives of seniors
  • Previous experience in coordinating programs, events, or activities with a resident-centered approach
  • Certificate IV in Leisure & Health (desired or willing to obtain)
  • Current COVID-19 Vaccinations (required)
  • Current Police Check clearance (required, but can be completed for you)
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificate (required or willing to obtain prior to commencement)
