Key Position Summary: A unique opportunity exists for an Open Cut Examiner at a small to medium-sized open cut coal mining operation in Central Queensland.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members
  • Prepare and submit daily reports
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements at all times
  • Contribute to the promotion of the operation's safety culture each day
  • Collaborate with the Production Superintendent to implement efficient mining practices in the pit
  • Conduct safety observations, identify and correct behaviours/processes, and promote these to your crew(s)

About You:

  • Must possess a valid Open Cut Examiner's practising certificate
  • Requires 5+ years' experience in supervision (or step-up experience) in open cut/pit mining
  • Acute people management and communication skills are essential
