Key Role: Assistant Kitchen Manager

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced hospitality professional to manage our kitchen operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and cleanliness.

This is a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our back-of-house activities. You will work closely with the kitchen team to maintain productivity, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain kitchen presentation, cleanliness, and product integrity
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy workplace environment
  • Stock control and ordering
  • Effective communication with front-of-house management and staff
  • Assisting kitchen manager with menu planning and cost control
  • Managing kitchen staff to ensure quality of product and service
  • Opening/closing of restaurant
Requirements:
  • Proven leadership experience within a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • High standard of food preparation and productivity
  • Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure
  • Some experience in budget management and cost control
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, time management, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work a flexible rotating roster including nights/weekends
