We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the strategic development and implementation of our sport programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operational management of our sporting activities, including program and partner design, implementation, and execution of collaborative community engagements.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in operational leadership, financial planning, and team management. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate with various stakeholders, including students, staff, and industry partners.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Student Services and Wellbeing portfolio, which leads the university-wide strategy and coordination of all non-academic matters related to the student experience. The portfolio delivers a range of services across the student life cycle, providing advice and leadership to the university on student and staff matters.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing sport programs that align with the university's strategic direction and aspirations
  • Liaising with stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and delivery of sport initiatives
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports to inform decision-making and evaluate program effectiveness
  • Leading and managing a team of officers and casuals to achieve sport program objectives

The successful candidate will possess a degree or equivalent qualification, with at least four years' relevant experience in operational leadership. They will also demonstrate high-level communication and leadership skills, with the ability to display initiative, critically evaluate systems and processes, and implement improvements at a strategic and operational level.
