Maintenance Leader

We are implementing a comprehensive maintenance approach to sustainable packaging at our site, partnering with brands to producers. Our goal is to integrate supply chain efficiencies and sustainable practices into everything we design and manufacture.

At our Brendale site, we produce blow moulded packaging that meet stringent requirements for products ranging from industrial chemicals through to food and pharmaceuticals. As Maintenance Leader, you will oversee a team of 5, planning and executing the mechanical maintenance function while providing support to other departments.

The role ensures timely and accurate responses to operations, delivering best outcomes with Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the MEX maintenance schedule for mechanical works at the Brendale site
  • Raise and Issue MEX Works Orders from Requests
  • Coordinate and balance workload for site Mechanical Trades and Contractors
  • Liaise with Electrical Trades and Electrical Supervisor
  • Assign scheduled tasks and mechanical breakdown tasks to site Trades and Contractors
  • Lead and or participate in Continuous Improvement Projects to achieve improved Safety, Productivity, Quality & Reliability
  • Develop and maintain spare parts inventory
  • Engage in relevant WHS campaigns
  • Maintain quality standards and controls to manufacture packaging solutions
  • Ensure work is carried out safely (Take5 & LOTO)
  • Issuing and amending SOPs

To be successful, you will:

  • Improve machine availability by working on improvement/reliability programs
  • Regularly update MEX system status and use
  • Continuous improvement in machinery safety and safe working practices
  • Supervise and mentor team
  • Bring solid experience in manufacturing processes
  • Provide solid Maintenance planning and supervision
  • Understand preventative maintenance strategies
  • Experience with MEX or equivalent maintenance operating system
  • Hydraulic and Pneumatics experience
  • Understand Blow moulding or want to gain experience
