Senior Instrumentation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electronics, Electrical or Instrumentation Technician or Engineer to join our team.
- Maintain service delivery within various instrumentation networks.
- Ensure optimal performance of Rain Radars, Automatic Weather Stations, Upper-Air monitoring systems, Sea Level Monitoring Stations, Wave and Wave height buoys, Satellite ground reception and space weather instruments, Flood warning/rainfall monitoring systems, Cooperative observers, volunteer rainfall stations, and Communications, telemetry and instrumentation systems.
This role involves frequent travel to remote locations, utilizing 4WDs, planes, boats and helicopters, and working as part of a national maintenance workforce.
You will deliver exceptional customer service, engage with stakeholders, contractors, support staff and the public, and contribute to a diverse and inclusive workplace culture that prioritizes health, safety and wellbeing.
You will report to and be mentored by a Team Lead in the Observing Operations Hub. This is an opportunity to gain valuable experience and develop your skills in a dynamic and challenging environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and repair of instrumentation networks
- Travel to remote locations for maintenance and repairs
- Collaborate with stakeholders and team members to achieve project goals
Requirements:
- Degree in Electronics, Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering
- Prior experience in instrumentation maintenance and repair
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
