Wine Ambassador Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Wine Ambassador to lead our wine service team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional wine experiences to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver personalized wine recommendations and pairings to guests, showcasing your extensive knowledge of wine varieties and regions.
  • Maintain high standards of wine service, including decanting, glassware, temperature, and presentation.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth through upselling, by-the-glass insights, and flight activations.
  • Assist with cellar tasks such as receiving, rotation, binning, stocktakes, and cleanliness.
  • Collaborate with the floor team to deliver seamless service and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Contribute to regular wine tastings, training sessions, and seasonal list updates to stay up-to-date on the latest trends and developments.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of WSET Level 2 certification in Wines or higher.
  • Current NSW RSA accreditation and eligibility to work in Australia.
  • Prior experience as a sommelier or in a similar role in a quality restaurant or wine bar.
  • Excellent communication skills, pace, and attention to detail under pressure.
