About the Role

The Medical Oncology Consultant is a key member of our multidisciplinary care team, delivering exceptional clinical care to patients in the Medical Oncology Department. This role requires a high level of expertise, leadership, and collaboration with other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver top-tier clinical care to patients, ensuring excellent patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Lead and participate in clinical audit, quality and safety management, clinical risk assessment, research endeavors, and ongoing medical education initiatives.
  • Engage in teaching medical students, trainee medical officers, and relevant Nursing and Allied Health professionals.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.

Requirements
  • Registered with AHPRA and have at least 12 months recent experience in Medical Oncology.
  • On RACP training program within 6 months of completing fellowship.
  • Hold or be eligible for the FRACP.
  • IMG's eligible for Competent Authority Pathway - UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, NZ.
  • IMG's with RACP interview date.
  • IMG's assessed by RACP and found to be substantially comparable.
