We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic support worker to join our team in Mount Isa.
The role involves developing and implementing programs to strengthen family relationships, promote early intervention and prevention activities, increase community participation, and support family functioning, especially within First Nations/Multicultural communities.
This is a remote service delivery role, with approximately 60% of work hours spent traveling and overnighting with families to provide support in rural and remote locations through mobile early childhood education and care services, as well as information, advice, and referral pathways.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement programs to strengthen family relationships and promote early intervention and prevention activities
- Support family functioning, especially within First Nations/Multicultural communities
- Travel and overnight with families to provide support in rural and remote locations
- Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
- Hold or be working towards a Diploma or higher in Children's Services, Counselling, Community Services, or similar, or willing to study
- Current Queensland driver's license
- Blue card
