About this opportunity

This role involves conducting ticket inspections, reporting detected offences, and taking appropriate actions to protect state revenue, provide customer service and reassurance to the public. You will play an integral part in ensuring a safe, modern and friendly environment for travellers.

The primary responsibilities include:

  • Conducting regular ticket inspections to detect and report any detected offences
  • Submitting detailed reports in a timely manner
  • Providing exceptional customer service by being approachable and knowledgeable towards our customers
  • Assisting in the security and preservation of Yarra Trams vehicles and property
  • Contributing to the maximisation of fare compliance on Yarra Trams

You should have:

  • A high level of adherence to protocol and upholding legislated compliance
  • Strong customer service skills, ideally gained in a face-to-face environment with excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong comprehension of the English Language to assist with completing legal statements
  • Confidence and flexibility
  • Ability to think and respond productively
  • Ability to work in a close team environment and/or autonomously
  • Willingness to work varied shifts and irregular hours over a rotating 7-day week
  • A high standard of personal presentation
