Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Leading Hand to lead and direct product flow for each shift within Sungold-Fresh Milk.

You will be responsible for planning and organizing daily shift operations to meet production targets. This includes coordinating and delegating tasks across a team of 5 operators, mentoring and coaching team members to build capability and maintain performance.

Additionally, you will liaise with internal departments (e.g., maintenance, quality, logistics) and external stakeholders, monitor compliance with QMS policies and procedures, participate in Food Safety (HACCP) reviews and maintain high hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities include enforcing occupational health and safety regulations, promoting a safe work environment and identifying and resolving operational issues with initiative and problem-solving skills.

Enthusiasm for the production of quality products and adherence to OHS and QMS policies is essential. Passionate about training and mentoring others, excellent communication skills – both oral and written – and experience in Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, and SharePoint are also required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A Forklift license is mandatory. Team Leader or Leadership experience will be highly regarded.
  • Certificate III in Food Processing or equivalent is necessary.
  • Certifications/Tickets as per WCB & NUW Agreement are expected.
  • Passionate about training and mentoring others, with a strong focus on leading and motivating teams.
