Improvement Initiative Facilitator

We seek a skilled and motivated individual to support our Patient Experience Program as an Improvement Initiative Facilitator.

You will play a pivotal role in enhancing the experiences of patients, families, carers, and staff across our health service by shaping and supporting NSW Health and Hunter New England Health initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and implementation of improvement initiatives across the district, driving positive change through collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with consumers and staff to co-design innovative improvement initiatives that address real-world challenges.
  • Facilitate workshops and focus groups to gather and act on consumer feedback, ensuring patient needs are at the forefront of decision-making.
  • Support data collection, analysis, and reporting on patient experience initiatives, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  • Promote a culture of ongoing improvement and partnership with consumers, fostering a collaborative environment that drives results.
  • Support the District Partnering with Consumers Committee and associated Working Parties, contributing to the development of strategic partnerships.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in a health discipline, along with recent clinical experience in an acute healthcare setting, are essential.
  • Demonstrated expertise in project work, including planning, implementation, and evaluation, is necessary for success in this role.
  • Experience leading or contributing to quality improvement initiatives is highly valued, as is strong communication skills – both written and verbal – with the ability to connect with diverse stakeholders.
  • A genuine team player who contributes positively to team culture and shared goals, with a passion for improving patient experience through innovation and engagement.
  • Experience in partnering with consumers, families, and carers is also desirable.
Essential Requirements
  • Eligibility to drive in NSW and capacity to undertake travel within HNELHD are necessary for this role.
