About the Role

As a Senior Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive key account management strategy for approximately 50 accounts. This will involve creating detailed budgets for volume, revenue, and yield for each account, as well as proactively maintaining a robust pipeline of new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive key account management strategy for approximately 50 accounts
  • Proactively maintain a robust pipeline of new business opportunities
  • Monitor and report on budget performance, comparing actuals versus targets
  • Design and deliver tailored supply chain solutions
  • Implement effective customer relationship strategies
  • Negotiate and close sales deals at optimal pricing and yield
  • Collaborate closely with the international sales team
  • Maintain excellence in written communication
  • Lead the identification, negotiation, management, and execution of special events, trade shows, and retail functions

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within the freight forwarding, logistics, or shipping industry
  • Strong analytical skills, capable of presenting data and insights to senior leaders
  • Proficient in project management, especially for handling special cargo projects
  • Experience with CargoWise is preferred but not mandatory
