About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Science Liaison to join our Radiology division in Australia. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in establishing and maintaining relationships with key physicians, scientists, and diagnostic providers to ensure the successful implementation of Medical Affairs Strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish long-term scientific/strategic relationships with key physicians/scientists and related diagnostic providers, medical associations, and academic centers of excellence.
  • Drive awareness of Radiology products and relevant diagnostic modalities through dissemination and discussion of scientific and clinical data.
  • Answer medical/scientific queries of Medical Societies and HCPs with regards to Bayer products in concert with the Medical Information team.
  • Contribute to the organization of advisory boards and medical educational events.
  • Attend congresses and conventions to learn new scientific/clinical data and engage with Thought Leaders.
  • Gather competitive intelligence to inform brand strategy.
  • Plan and organize scientific training and education events/sessions with TLs within their specific therapeutic area or product.
  • Act as a point of contact for investigators, facilitating the interface with investigators and appropriate Bayer personnel responsible for approval, and communication of study progress and completion.
  • Provide assistance to Medical Advisors and Market Access by supporting presentations of new information to hospital formularies and reimbursement.
  • Support brand strategy by providing assistance to Marketing and other business colleagues (field insights and education on scientific data).
Requirements
  • An advanced degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., MD, PhD, PharmD, DVM, MSc, or equivalent degrees in fields such as Radiology, Medical Imaging, Biomedical Sciences, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or related areas).
  • Strong background in radiology, with experience in medical imaging, contrast agents, radiopharmaceuticals, or related fields.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical or scientific role within the pharmaceutical, medical imaging, biotechnology, or medical device sector.
  • Previous experience engaging with KOLs/TLs is preferred.
  • Excellent presentation and written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting scientific data and academic/scientific writing.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with thorough attention to detail ensuring timely follow-through and closure with Thought Leaders, fellow MSL, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen and a strategic mindset with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
