Position Overview

The role entails fostering constructive relationships with local and regional Indigenous communities, assisting Civeo's partners in fulfilling contractual commitments and exploring business prospects, while also advocating for cultural sensitivity and promoting diversity and inclusion within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and sustain connections with Indigenous communities, organizations, and leaders in the areas where we operate.
  2. Champion the organization's dedication to Indigenous reconciliation and diversity initiatives.
  3. Participate in the formulation and implementation of programs designed to enhance reconciliation and diversity within the company.
  4. In collaboration with the GM Strategic Partnerships, serve as a conduit between the organization and local Indigenous stakeholders, including Joint Venture Partners, to build trust and cooperation.
  5. Engage in community events and networking opportunities to strengthen ties with local Indigenous groups.
  6. Assist in providing Indigenous-related content for tender submissions as required by the team.
  7. Collaborate with the Employee Communication and Indigenous Relations Manager to ensure a unified approach to achieving key objectives outlined in the company's Indigenous Strategy plan.
  8. Offer support to the GM Strategic Partnership and CIS Leadership team.

Qualifications & Experience

  1. A Bachelor's degree in Indigenous Studies or a related discipline is preferred.
  2. Demonstrated experience in a strategic role focused on Indigenous relations or engagement, particularly in managing relationships with Indigenous community members, groups, organizations, or enterprises.
  3. Comprehensive understanding of Indigenous cultures, histories, and contemporary issues.
  4. Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building capabilities.
  5. Proficient in collaborating with diverse teams.
  6. Experience in event planning and coordination is advantageous.
