Job Overview
Canonical's Workplace Engineering team is seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer to design and deliver web-based systems and SAAS. As a key member of the team, you will provide new insights into the Canonical workplace experience, enable new processes, and improve existing workflows.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop high-quality web-based systems and SAAS.
  • Provide data-driven insights to inform business decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices.

Requirements:
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced software engineer with expertise in two or more of the following areas:
  • Backend web service programming in Python and Node.JS.
  • Solid understanding of web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Data analytics and statistical analysis.
  • Natural language processing, sentiment analysis, machine learning.
  • Data visualisation.
