Job Title

Tamworth Aboriginal Medical Service is seeking an Aboriginal Administration Officer/Receptionist.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administrative and reception duties, including transport.
  • Answer telephone calls, take messages and distribute incoming correspondence.
  • Undertake faxing, printing, photocopying, binding and other administrative tasks as required.
  • Provide support to the executive team for events if required.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with all policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and computer literacy.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander patients in a culturally appropriate way.
  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC), National Police Check and NSW Driver's License.

This position is open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants only, due to a genuine occupational requirement under section 14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW).
