**Job Opportunity:**Skip to Job Requirements and ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a seasoned Mechanical Design Engineer with a proven track record of delivering innovative engineering solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the proposal process, conducting site visits, and coordinating interdisciplinary efforts.About the Role:

This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience on Higher Ed, Municipal, K-12, and Commercial projects.

  • This role involves providing clients with input on design options, project schedules, and code review.
  • You will perform site visits to existing facilities for renovation/addition projects to gather information on existing conditions.
  • Work with project managers and designers to prepare construction drawings and calculations within AutoCAD or Revit.
  • Conduct interdisciplinary coordination and manage final reviews/approvals between disciplines and agencies and respond to comments.
  • Continue involvement through the construction process including submittal review, RFI response, field visits, and closeout documentation.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Perform full HVAC system design and sizing (equipment, ductwork, piping, ventilation, controls, etc.) including full load calculations and equipment selection.
  • Coordinate and integrate HVAC systems with other building services to ensure seamless functionality, compliance with building codes, and optimal performance in the overall building infrastructure.
  • Produce HVAC design drawing packages (plans, schedules, construction details, specifications, sequences of operation, and life safety).
