About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Men's Suicide Prevention Worker to join our team at Wellways Australia Limited. As a key member of our team, you will provide trauma-informed, non-clinical support to men across the Healthy North Coast catchment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide practical support to men at a time and place that suits them, promoting their access to services and resources.
  • Develop relationships with local GPs and allied health providers to facilitate referrals and support.
  • Work collaboratively with our team to deliver a trauma-informed, community-based service.
Requirements
  • A contemporary understanding of mental health issues and recovery-oriented practice.
  • Completion of a Certificate 4 in Mental Health, Peer Work, or Community Services, or equivalent experience.
  • Rights to work in Australia and a valid driver's license.
  • Satisfactory police records check and working with children check.
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
