Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled real estate lawyer to join our team.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients, including foreign institutional investors, property fund managers, government authorities, real estate investment trusts, developers, and other stakeholders who are developing some of the largest and most complex projects in Australia.

The role involves working closely with our senior lawyers and gaining hands-on experience in an array of matters across both public and private sectors, ranging from typical property development work to large property and infrastructure project work.

You will be responsible for supporting large property transactions and will be encouraged to foster great client relationships.

Our team has an unrivalled portfolio of major commercial clients and is renowned for its expertise in advising many major players in the real estate industry.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on diverse matters, including:

  • A variety of renewable energy projects, such as hydrogen, wind farm, solar, hydro, and carbon capture.
  • Capital transactions work for large institutional clients.
  • Impactful social and affordable housing projects that will change the lives of many Queenslanders impacted by the housing crisis.
  • Transport projects in all forms, focusing on improving the rail and road networks and infrastructure across Queensland.
  • Other large infrastructure projects, including those in readiness to host the 2032 Olympics.
  • Property transaction and leasing work, including major head office/industrial leasing for clients.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Property experience, exposure to different types of property matters, and ideally between 3-6 years' post-admission experience.
  • Excellent client-facing capability.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and an ability to communicate with impact to both internal and external clients and staff.
  • Strong time and project management skills.
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
  • Strong academic background.
  • An enthusiasm to learn and grow as a real estate lawyer.
