About the Role

As a Senior Assurance Analyst (Digital) in our Divisional Assurance - Institutional team, you'll play a pivotal role in providing 1st line technology assurance to the Payments Technology domain.

As a Senior Assurance Analyst, you will support the Assurance Manager (Payments) to ensure the Institutional Domain and, in particular, the Payments Technology Domain achieves its objectives by providing guidance and oversight for overall health of Domain risk operations. Your role will work with 1st line and 2nd line risk teams across the bank to help shape and design the controls suited to reduce the bank's overall risk profile and support the Payments Technology Domain and related business divisions on understanding their risk profile and identifying opportunities for improvement.

As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for:

  • Supporting compliance of the Payments Technology Domain with respect to the Identify, Act and Monitor (I.AM) risk framework
  • Support, review and prepare risk reporting for the Payments Technology Domain and related Business Reporting, including insights and consulting on actions to improve risk measures
  • Building strong relationships with key stakeholders to educate and support risk maturity
  • Proactively engaging and following up actions with technology and business stakeholders
  • Driving continuous improvement of risk and control practices
  • Providing risk and security consulting advice on risk and security related tasks and issues
  • Providing assurance of quality and adequacy of risks, key controls, treatments, events, audit items, NFRAs etc as required
  • Acting as a contact for stakeholders seeking support from first line assurance
  • Attending and participating in, and assisting in the production of reporting for, risk committees and other forums as required

What We're Looking For

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of technology risk and information security processes, concepts, and industry standards
  • Sound understanding of control effectiveness assessment/testing, mitigation techniques and risk reporting requirements
  • Ability to analyse data to determine root cause of control deficiencies to enable meaningful discussions with business stakeholders around potential business impacts and identify process improvements
  • Ability to build collaborative working relationships and communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Growth mindset, ready to engage and influence stakeholders and team members
  • Ability to synthesise information from multiple sources to produce meaningful reporting, insights and action plans
  • Ability to effectively communicate ideas in a consumable format with supporting action plans
  • Planning and prioritising what needs to be done in order to deliver upon user needs and strategic priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs
