This is a part-time, ongoing role working 18.75 hours per week at the Women's and Children's Hospital in North Adelaide.

About the Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality medical imaging services to patients at the South Australian Medical Imaging (SAMI) facility. As a consultant radiologist and nuclear medicine specialist, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary clinical and academic team to provide exceptional patient care, teaching, and research opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional leadership to clinical staff and supervise the training of radiology trainees, other staff, and medical students.
  • Active participation in quality improvement and quality assurance activities to ensure safe, effective, and efficient patient-centred care processes.
  • Represent SAMI at campus meetings and liaise with clinicians regarding service provision, including attending hospital clinico-radiology/multidisciplinary team meetings and management team meetings.
  • Taking responsibility for at least one clinico-radiology/multidisciplinary meeting per week.
  • Supporting and encouraging team cooperation amongst staff to optimise the level and diagnostic accuracy of the service provided.

At the request of the Campus Clinical Head, the incumbent may be required to deliver medical imaging services at various SAMI locations.

Essential Requirements:
  • A current National Police Clearance (NPC).
  • A Working With Children Check (DHS).
  • Immunisation screening as indicated in the role description.
Education/Vocational Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent qualification.
  • Appropriate specialist qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration.
