Clinical Leadership Psychiatrist

About the Role:
A clinical leadership psychiatrist is required to provide high-quality mental health services in the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN).
The successful candidate will have extensive experience and knowledge in clinical leadership, with a strong focus on delivering safe and effective consumer-focused care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing clinical services of the highest standard to mental health consumers, with a focus on individual performance and multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Leading by example and contributing to a culture of excellence in patient care, quality improvement, and research.
- Collaborating with medical, nursing, and allied health professionals to deliver comprehensive care and develop innovative solutions to complex mental health issues.
- Mentoring and supervising junior staff members, including registrars, trainee medical officers, and medical students.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives, research projects, and professional development activities.
Qualifications and Requirements:
To be eligible for this role, applicants must hold a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent qualifications, along with specialist registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia. A Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists is also essential.
Applicants should possess excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Salary and Benefits:
The salary for this position ranges from $364,134 to $711,442 per annum, depending on level of experience and qualifications.
