We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Mental Health team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing quality patient care and promoting recovery across various healthcare settings.
About the Role
The Registered Nurse (RN) within Mental Health Drug and Alcohol (MHDA) Services leads and supports quality patient health outcomes with a focus on recovery. You will assume a leadership role within the nursing team, supporting, coaching, and leading nursing staff including Enrolled Nurses (EN) and Assistants in Nursing (AIN).
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and evaluate specific mental health nursing care activities that support the multidisciplinary healthcare team and ensure safe practice within adopted models of care.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to nursing staff on mental health issues and best practices.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to promote optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse – Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Current mental health, drug, and alcohol clinical knowledge and problem-solving ability.
