Main Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and maintain reliable, scalable, and secure data pipelines and processing solutions using AWS and Databricks.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions that meet business needs.
  • Ensure platform scalability, security, and performance optimisation through continuous monitoring and improvement.
  • Support and mentor junior engineers, sharing best practices and technical guidance to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Implement data governance and operational best practices to ensure reliability, compliance, and data quality.
  • Troubleshoot issues and provide technical expertise for incidents and problem resolution.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Senior Cloud Data Engineer in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong expertise in AWS Cloud Services and Databricks, including experience with cloud-based data warehousing and big data analytics.
  • Solid understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, and modern data architectures.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python and SQL, as well as big data technologies like Hadoop and Spark.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to analyze complex data issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and security best practices, including experience with data encryption, access control, and auditing.
  • Experience with other cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP, and exposure to consultancy or professional services environments.
