Overview
Senior Data Engineer – Brisbane
We're looking for a hands-on Data Engineer to join a growing team in Brisbane.
This is a senior technical role where you'll be designing, building, and optimising scalable data pipelines that directly support analytics and decision-making across the business.
What you'll do
Develop and maintain data pipelines and integrations using modern ETL frameworks.
Write and optimise complex SQL queries for large-scale processing and reporting.
Build and support cloud data warehouse solutions (Snowflake or similar).
Model, transform, and structure data for use in BI and analytics (Power BI environment).
Partner with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver clean, reliable datasets.
Maintain strong data quality, governance, and documentation practices.
What we're looking for
5+ years' hands-on experience with SQL, data pipelines, and performance tuning.
Strong experience with ETL/data integration and cloud data platforms (Snowflake or similar).
Proven skills in data modelling and transformation.
Ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and strong communication skills.
Nice to have
Experience with data governance and quality assurance.
Power BI modelling experience.
Important
This is a Brisbane-based role – we're only considering candidates currently living in Brisbane.
You must have full Australian working rights.
