About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team at Alfred Health. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, evidence-based care to patients with complex trauma and orthopaedic conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of occupational therapists to deliver a service focused on early rehabilitation, including return to daily activities and complex discharge planning.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to achieve patient-directed goals.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members to ensure high-quality care and professional development.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and research projects to enhance patient outcomes and service delivery.
Requirements
  • Postgraduate qualification in Occupational Therapy or a related field.
  • Full registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
  • Minimum 7 years of clinical experience in occupational therapy, with a focus on trauma and orthopaedics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Leadership and management experience, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
