Educational Support Assistant

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to provide tailored support to students with diverse needs.
Key Responsibilities- Assist classroom teachers in delivering individualized educational programs for students with varying learning requirements.
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, enhancing their participation in classroom activities.
- Support students who require assistive technology to communicate, promoting effective interaction.
- Implement and support behaviour management strategies aligned with individual student plans.
- Assist with personal care needs as required, ensuring the well-being of students.
- Accompany students during school excursions and extracurricular activities.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other staff to monitor and report on student progress.
- A Certificate III or IV in Education Support or equivalent qualification is highly desirable.
- Experience working with students with disabilities in an educational setting is essential.
- A strong understanding of the needs of students with disabilities, particularly physical impairment, intellectual disabilities, ASD, and ADHD, is crucial.
- The ability to implement individualized learning strategies and behaviour management plans is vital.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
- A current First Aid and CPR certification is required.
- A Working with Children Check (Blue Card) is mandatory, or a willingness to obtain it.
