Cable Jointer Opportunity

This role involves constructing and maintaining the underground electricity network in a safe, reliable, and affordable manner. Ensuring supply to customers is paramount.

The role is based at our depot.

Key Responsibilities

  • Construct network infrastructure according to design specifications and construction standards.
  • Deal with day-to-day technical issues on site relating to design and construction.
  • Execute programmed construction and maintenance work for safe, reliable, and affordable operation of the network.
  • Maintain effective relationships with customers and public.
  • Ensure prompt attendance to faults and isolate the network for repairs.
  • On-site management of customers, traffic, and public.
  • Assist with building team capability and providing technical knowledge to others.

Requirements

  • A Certificate III in ESI - Power System Distribution Cable Jointing or equivalent qualification.
  • Demonstrated industry experience in construction and maintenance of transmission and/or distribution electricity networks.
