About the Role

The Senior Policy Officer is a key member of the Data Strategy & Policy team, responsible for assisting the Deputy Director in maturing and managing Air Force's governance functions for information management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement Air Force policies and procedures to enhance information capabilities;
  • Provide expert advice on information management policies and procedures to Air Force stakeholders;
  • Lead the maintenance of policies, procedures, and guidance related to Air Force;
  • Assist in the management and coordination of IDG-AF's communications efforts, including intranet pages and information management updates.
About Our Team

The Information and Data Governance – Air Force (IDG-AF) team is situated within Air Force Headquarters, enabling Air Force to manage and use its information assets to support timely and effective decisions.

IDG-AF has two teams that work closely together to achieve outcomes in a complex and interconnected domain:

  • Information Management – Air Force's (IM-AF) purpose is to manage Air Force's governance functions for information management;
  • Data Policy & Strategy's (DPS-AF) purpose is to mature and manage Air Force's governance functions for data management.
