Senior Clinician Role

The Senior Clinician plays a pivotal leadership role within Defence Force Recruiting Headquarters in Canberra.

  • Delivers expert medical guidance and conducts training for Health Professionals.
  • Leads clinical operations, assessing applicant medical suitability, and ensures compliance with ADF policies and standards.
  • Trains, mentors, and supervises Health Professionals to meet policy requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality medical advice and conduct comprehensive assessments.
  • Develop and implement effective training programs for Health Professionals.
  • Lead and manage clinical operations, ensuring adherence to ADF policies and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Australian citizenship is essential.
  • Minimum 5 years of postgraduate general practitioner experience is required.
  • Current unconditional registration as a specialist medical practitioner in Australia is necessary.
  • Evidence of Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners or equivalent suitable experience is needed.
