Event Manager Role

This role is ideal for an experienced event manager looking to join a dynamic organisation. DevelopmentWA is a State Government agency creating exceptional places for Western Australians, collaborating closely with communities, government, and industry.

We plan and deliver land and property development projects, taking them from conception to completion.

About the Role

  • Develop, review, and evaluate the sponsorship and events program in alignment with brand strategy and organisational goals.
  • Research and recommend innovative event venues, formats, and themes.
  • Manage all aspects of corporate events including AV/staging, catering, invitations, and RSVP processes.
  • Coordinate the corporate sponsorship program, including application reviews, collateral management, and post-event reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant guidelines, regulations, and laws.
  • Collaborate with the broader Marketing team and contribute to cross-functional projects.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Demonstrated end-to-end event management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategically assessing sponsorship applications and managing agreed deliverables.
  • Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills, including the ability to convey ideas and concepts in writing and through verbal presentations.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively, contribute to the achievement of team outcomes, and share expertise.
  • Well-developed organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work across and manage multiple projects.
